Tasting of 4 wines and traditional food at a winecellar on Mount Etna

You will visit the wine cellar Planeta situated on the Northern slopes of Etna, at an altitude of 850 metres above sea level. The winecellar is amongst oak and sweet chestnut woods, just a stone's throw from the village of Passopisciaro. It is a location with spectacular views, in fact inside an old lava flow of 1566, as if it were a rock garden.
On this land, at such a high altitude, Etna's finest wines can be found, widely acclaimed in both the national and international wine trade.

You will take a scenic walk amongst the grapevines and the wine press, and then it's time to visit the winecellar for a guided tasting of 4 Planeta fine wines. After this it's time to taste 3 extra virgin olive oils by Planeta, accompanied by tasters of traditional local foods.

During July and August - and only on a Saturday - it will be possible to also add to the tasting an outdoor picnic with a range of Sicilian produce served up in a wooden box!
