Good wine and nature lovers, this is an opportunity not to be missed.We will help you discover a beautiful estate in the splendid Alcantara Valley which is located 530 metres above the sea level. In the Tenuta Rustica, immerse in an oak tree forest, extra-virgin oil is produced with the fruits of a centuries old local olive trees variety called "Nocerella Etnea" and the wine comes from the vine variety "Nerello Mascalese".
The experience will begin with a relaxing walk among the vineyards and the centruries old olive grove. You will then visit the ancient threshing area and wine vats continuing with a trek on the archeological site of Rocca Pizzicata, a megalithic complex dating back to 1500 B.C. In this archeological complex you will find remains of lodges, tombs, altars all escalated in the rock. The sedimentary rocks that you will find in Rocca Pizzicata have been modelled over the centuries by the water which has formed incredible tunnels, ravines and sculptures.
At the end of your trek you will come back to the farm and enjoy yourself with a tasting of 3 different wine labels, extra-virgin olive oil and a buffet composed by local typical products. -
