Visit an oil press and taste olive oil in Syracuse

To get to know how Extra-Virgin Olive Oil is made, come into the Syracuse countryside and take part in a guided tour of an oil press of the company Olive.
During the visit you will be shown up close all the techniques and phases of production of extra-virgin olive oil. You will stroll through the olive groves to appreciate the majesty of the olive trees, and then it's time to taste 4 different extra-virgin olive oils ('tonda iblea','nocellara', 'moresca') with homemade bread and little tasters of some local foods.

The company Oliva, established in 1957, produces extra-virgin olive oil exclusively with the olives of this region. The olive groves are cultivated with love and much care, and they are harvested early in the season in order to guarantee the very highest quality standard.

If you want, you can also book the Lemon tour: a walk through the gardens of lemons, followed by some harvesting (during the months of November to August).
