Catania: Street Art Tour

Catania is famous not only for its beautiful landscapes and architecture, but since a few years it has also become well renowned for its modernity and for being very opened to changes and street-art.The walls of Catania tell stories that are worth knowing. Come discover them with us!

You will meet up with your guide in Piazza Duomo and from there, after a brief digression on the history of Street Art, you will head towards the habour area of Catania to enjoy the Silos, that have been transformed in real masterpieces by eight internationally famous artists. On each silo there is an art piece representing myths and legends related to Catania and Sicily.

Tracing back to Piazza Duomo you will discover with your guide Via Crociferi, proceeding onto via Alessi where you will find one of the four works of the internationally famous artist Christian Guèmy, known as C215. The art work here represents two elderly people kissing. The second art work is in Piazza Stesicoro  and it representsSant'Agata, the patron of the city.
From here you will continue onto the San Berillo neighbourhood, an ancient working-class area, whose small streets hide super colourful graffitis, a constant attempt to requalify and add value to this corner of Catania.

Your last stop will be Villa Bellini, the beautiful green lung of Catania. Here you will part ways with your guide.
