1 Week Tour: Unesco World Heritage

Day 1: Arrival at the Catania’s Airport. Transfer to the accommodation facilities in Catania.
Day 2: Visit of Mount Etna’s central craters.
Tour to 2,900 metres on Mt Etna with cable car, off-road vehicle and mountain guide. Lunch and wine tasting at the feet of Mt Etna.
Departure: 8:30 am pick-up at the hotel. Return is scheduled at 4:00 pm.
Tour schedule: transfer to the Rifugio Sapienza, our tour starting point. From there, via cable car, you will arrive in 20 minutes at an altitude of 2504 metres in order to watch the lava flows that characterize the Etna’s landscape. After that you will reach an altitude of 2900 metres by off-road vehicle. From there an experienced guide will take you to the Central Craters where you will enjoy a breath-taking view. After that you will reach a wine cellar, where you will have a wine tasting and you will be served a lunch based on local products.   Back to Catania and free afternoon.
Day 3: Piazza Armerina.
Visit to Piazza Armerina, an old town located in the province of Enna and famous for the “Villa Romana del Casale” an archaeological site full of breath-taking mosaics dating back to the III - IV century A.D. Lunch is served in a farmhouse near Piazza Armerina. Return to the Hotel and free afternoon.
Day 4: Guided tour to Valle dei Templi of Agrigento.
You will visit the Valley of the Temples, one of the most important archaeological sites of the Mediterranean. This area was of the greatest Greek settlement. You will admire the monumental Doric temples in excellent condition. Lunch and free afternoon.
Day 5: Tour of Ragusa Ibla.
Ibla is considered the fulcrum of Baroque architecture. It was destroyed in 1693 by an earthquake and then rebuilt in the XVIII century. Ragusa is actually divided into two areas: the upper town, the most recent and modern Ragusa, and Ragusa Ibla that includes the historical center. Lunch and free afternoon.
Day 6: Syracuse, Ortigia and Noto.
Guided tour of the Archaeological Park of Syracuse, that is home to most of the Greek and Roman monuments of Syracuse. Visit to the island of Ortigia, to the Greek temples, Christian churches and the baroque Dome square surrounded by its stunning palaces. Lunch is served at local restaurant. The tour continues with a visit to the Baroque city of Noto.
Day 7 - Departure. Pick up at the hotel and transfer to Catania’s airport.

Relax Package: our tour includes 2 nights in 4* Hotels in Catania, 1 night in 4* Hotel in Agrigento, 3 nights in a rural estate in Modica. Lunch is served everyday in a typical sicilian restaurant. All daily transfers from/to the hotel and pick-up from/to the airport are also included.
