Catania: lunch at home with a Sicilian family

A true Sicilian experience: having lunch or dinner at the home of a local family. Giulia will cook a traditional Sicilian menu for you, a genuine home-made lunch or dinner to get to know the great Sicilian culinary tradition, prepared by a Sicilian doc!

You will have lunch or dinner in an informal and environment filled with character, in a real home in the heart of Catania, inside an eighteenth-century building, just behind Piazza Duomo. In the dining room you will taste what the hostess has cooked for you: some of the most representative traditional dishes with 3 menus to choose from when booking: vegetarian, meat or fish.

Some examples of what you may taste? For the meat menu, pasta alla norma and a second course of lemon leaf meatballs; for the vegetarian menu pasta with fried courgettes and salted ricotta and for the second course aubergine cutlets; for the fish menu aeolian pasta with anchovies, capers and ricotta, and for as s second course anchovy pie.

The salad side dish and dessert (lemon or chocolate cake) will be the same for all menus.

Choose, according to your tastes, what type of menu you would like: Meat Menu, Fish Menu or Vegetarian Menu. Whatever your preference, you will taste authentic traditional dishes, cooked at home using only fresh and seasonal raw materials.

All menus include an appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, fruit, dessert, drinks.
