Enjoy one day of Sicilian gastronomic tradition in the beautiful scenario provided by Mount Etna. Sicily is a land of colours, smells and above all..flavours!
Choose the course that suits you between the following two proposals dedicated to all lovers of good food.
- Sicilian Fried Ball (we call it "Arancino") in 3 flavours: pistachio, meat and butter.
- Traditional Sicilian Recipes: you will prepare 2 typical sicilian dishes. Some examples of the recipes you could be engaged in are "rice timbale with summer vegetables, aubergine dome, beef roll and meat ball inside wrapped in lemon leaves.
Please note that all the participants will prepare the dishes but they will not use the stoves.
The location of the cooking class will be the renowned Cottanera Wine Cellar on Mt Etna, in Castiglione di Sicilia (about 40 km from Taormina). The management will be pleased to show you the cellar and the vineyards through a guided tour, to let you learn the production process of wine.
You will cook traditional Sicilian dishes. Lunch will follow where you will taste the dishes you have prepared during the course and some other local specialities.
Every participant will be equipped with apron and recipe book. -
