Half or Full Day by Jeep on Mt Etna and Alcantara Valley

You can choose a full-day or half-day excursion.
Both options include pick-up at your hotel in a Land Rover Jeep. You will travel via highway to Giarre and then through the villages of Santa Venerina, Milo, and Fornazzo.
Whether you choose the full-day or half-day excursion, you will pass along an ancient lava flow where you can admire the panoramic view of the vast Valle del Bove, a massive volcanic depression formed around 25,000 years ago, where you can see recent lava flows and rock formations resulting from the collapse of ancient volcanic structures. From here, you will continue your hike along a trail to visit the Sartorius Mountains, extinct craters formed during the eruption of 1865.
You will finally visit a lava flow cave, and then head back to your hotel, passing through the Mareneve road and the villages of Linguaglossa and Fiumefreddo.

If you chose the full-day excursion, after visiting the lava flow cave, you will stop for lunch (not included) at a refuge, and in the afternoon, you will visit the famous Alcantara River Park, where the naturalist guide will explain the geological formations.

Pick-up: Free pick-up in the municipalities of Catania, Acireale, Giarre, and villages on the southern slopes of Etna.
