You will be picked up in Catania at your hotel/accomodation by a driver, who will drive through the interior of Sicily to reach the ancient Piazza Armerina. Here you will admire the ruins of the Roman Villa del Casale and its magnificent mosaics celebrated all over the world. At the end of your tour, you will reach Caltagirone, famous all over the world for its ceramics.

Program of the day:

9:00 Pick up and departure towards Piazza Armarina in order to visit the Roman Villa del Casale.

10:30 Arrival at the Roman Villa del Casale which you will be able to visit on your own.

12:30 Transfer to the historical centre of Piazza Armerina, free time to visit and lunch break.

15:15 Depart from Piazza Armerina towards Caltagirone, arrival expected at about 16:00. Spare time to visit the historical centre. You will remark the ceramics shop all around town. The Santa Maria del Monte staircase, a staircase 130m long and finely decorated with ceramics, it is not to be missed!

17:30 Depart from Caltagirone and arrival in Catania around 18:30.

This is a private tour. You will have a dedicated driver/escort to satisfy your requests. Your driver/escort, as prescribed by the Italian law, will not be able to accompany you through museums but will be happy to advise and answer to your questions.

The car will be for you only, hence you will not share it with other people.
