Having Lunch as guests of a Sicilian Family

A true Sicilian experience! Having lunch or dinner at home of a local family.
Your host will cook for you a typical Sicilian menu: a genuine meal, home-made shared with you. Of course you will have the chance to cook together with your hosts!
All the families have been personally tested by the Chef Silvana Recupero.
You may choose between different families who live in different Sicilian towns. The menus have been chosen according to the traditions of every area and you will taste the typical dishes of such chosen areas.

Palermo: Domenico will come with you to the market to buy the ingredients to cook the dishes of your menu (arancine palermitane, bread and panelle, dessert). After your lunch, you may relax drinking a coffee and listening your host, Laura and Domenico, playing the piano and the violin.
Brucoli (SR): a little marine village in the district of Siracusa where you will be hosted on a terrace overlooking the sea. The menu consists of: starters “ancient flavours” (vegetables and ricotta crispelle), farfalle pasta at trinacria way (pasta with pachino tomatoes, rucola and mozzarella cheese), chicken Sicilian scent, fruit, granny cake. During the summer, you may also have a sea bath.
Catania: Mum Lavinia and reach menu of the Sicilian tradition (starter with fritters and other local specialities, pasta with pilchards, polpettone, salad, scacciata with broccoli, dessert).
Catania: Ant Cettina and uncle Stefano, your host will show you Catania down town first. Menu consisting of fritters filled of vegetable, pasta with guts and vegetable, sweet and sour meat balls.
Poggioreale (TP): in a village located in the Belice Valley, you may take a walk among the ancient ruins of Poggioreale destroyed by an earthquake in 1968. Menu: N’figghiulate (bread with sausage, onions and pepperoni), tomatoes with mackerel, local products, grilled meat, cuppiteddi (ricotta dessert).
Modica (RG): lunch in a farmhouse villa. Menu: home-made bread with dried tomatoes and olives, scacciate modicane, spaghetti oil, peppers and garlic, almond gelo.
